Linden House keeps it small on purpose — twelve individually furnished rooms inside a restored 1938 townhouse, a front desk that's staffed and human around the clock, and an actual brass key waiting for you at check-in.
Twelve rooms, kept deliberately small
Linden House opened in 2016 inside a 1938 townhouse we spent a year restoring rather than gutting — the oak staircase, the leaded windows, and the fireplace in the parlour are all original, not reproductions.
We stopped adding rooms at twelve on purpose. Past that, a front desk stops recognizing faces, and recognizing faces is most of what we're selling.

Ground-floor, opens onto the courtyard, quietest rooms in the house.

A separate sitting area with the original fireplace surround, most requested room.
Corner King
Windows on two walls and the best light in the house, top floor only.
The Penthouse
The full top floor — private stair, sitting room, and a rooftop terrace.
Twin Room
Two proper beds for guests traveling together, not a pull-out sofa.
Accessible Room
Ground-floor, wide doorways and a roll-in shower, booked directly with the desk.
Small enough to remember your name
Twelve rooms means the same three people are usually behind the desk, and they usually remember how you take your coffee.
